Hi! Welcome to our corner of the world.
We live in Kansas, just outside of Lawrence in the Lecompton Township. Actually, we live a lot closer to the unincorporated town of Big Springs. Give us a yell if you need directions for any reason. See the end of the page for emails.

Katie was born on April 5th, 2003. For the geeks among you that is 4/5/3, which is also known as a right triangle :). Her name is Katrina and she is very cute, of course *grin*. For more on Katie, including pictures, see Katie's Page.
Garrett was born on November 13th, 2005, the same as her paternal Grandfater's B-day. He came out quick (*cough cough*, see birth story), and has been a good boy. For more on Garrett, including pictures, see Garrett's Page.
John works at the Instrumentation Design Lab, and Barbara runs her own usabilty consulting company Little Spring Design.
John is a super geek electrical engineer, though he doesn't like most engineers because they're typically too stuffy and left brained. Not that he is right brained, but is mixed. Of course being mixed is typical of just about everything he does.
His work is centered around enabling various research groups to further their research by making custom electronics to fit their needs. Often this equipment is not available anywhere in the world and we work really cheap (compared to getting this made elsewhere). In some instances someone needs a single function out of a huge piece of very expensive equipment that does hundreds of things the person doesn't need. So, John's group builds what they do need. Barbara is a designer / usability engineer who is also a touch more right brained than your standard engineer. She spends her time reading science fiction, playing soccer, playing bridge, thinking about life, and working too much.
